The adolescent disciple lives with a growing confidence that the victory of Christ is not only something we believe — it is something we stand in.

To overcome the world is not about defeating something external; it is about refusing to be discipled by it and standing up to the systems and structures that do not faithfully represent God’s kingdom.

John’s description of the maturing disciple is rich and encouraging. He describes believers who have overcome and are overcoming, where the disciple is no longer dominated by sin.

We are not fighting for victory but from victory. Through Jesus, we have authority to resist the Devil and his schemes, knowing that when we "resist the devil," he "flees"!

Real strength in God is not loud or self-promoting.  It is not arrogance, bravado, or stubborn self-confidence.  Rather, it is a deep inner steadiness formed through relationship with God.

God’s Word being active in us means it possesses genuine effectiveness.

Do you know Bible verses or attend Bible studies - good. But real spiritual growth is when God’s Word takes root so deeply that it is alive within us.

Adolescence a season marked by growing confidence, exploration, and increasing responsibility. It is the stage where identity is tested, strengthened, and expressed.
